Netflix presents viewers with recommendations based on interactions with the service, such as previous viewing history and ratings of viewed content. The deal increased Netflix’s annual spending fees, adding roughly $200 million per year. The service, then called “Watch Now”, at first required Internet Explorer on a computer.
